Went out for a day of sailing. Great company, good food, good weather. Sailed up to Saltspring Island, east in Satellite Channel, turned around went down Saanich Inlet, and back home to the marina. The winds were blowing from the northeast to east most of the afternoon. The sun was out and warm on the water. All in all a good day.May the wind behind you not be your own.

Sailed up to Genoa Bay for lunch good winds ran wing on wing all the way there and motored part way back to Arbutus Ridge to get off the wind to set the sails.

Still working on the companionway drop boards. Mahogany rails and stiles doorskin panels with urethane foam core. Later we will be covering the whole deal with .76 oz. glass cloth and system three gloss clear LPU. Lazarette locker covers are being made 1/2 inch plywood tops 1-1/2 foam core and 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 fir ribs bottom skin of 1/4 ply. wrap in glass cloth 2" x 3/8" teak slats spaced 2" apart

Yesterday spent the day making templates for the drop boards and lazarette covers. More cleaning sanding and fairing around the windows.The port side outside is almost finished. The next day working on her we will dry fit the glass. The lines with the flat glass windows on the curved cabin bubble seem to work well. Sunday Feb. 15Captain Bill & I spent the day cleaning the Aline. The local otters seem to really like to roost on her. The decks where covered with various kinds of shelled seafood, sand and naturally the results of eating!
