Yesterday spent the day making templates for the drop boards and lazarette covers. More cleaning sanding and fairing around the windows. The port side outside is almost finished. The next day working on her we will dry fit the glass. The lines with the flat glass windows on the curved cabin bubble seem to work well. The picture is with the plywood template in the frame.
Until next time
Cap'n Bill
Sunday Feb. 15
Captain Bill & I spent the day cleaning the Aline. The local otters seem to really like to roost on her. The decks where covered with various kinds of shelled seafood, sand and naturally the results of eating! After sitting over the winter unused with no heat the interior cabin gets dank and mildew forms on the walls.
Spraying the walls with bleach & water brings the walls back to white. Then scrub with soap & water, hose down then vacuum all of the dirty water out of the cabin and bilge and she looks great again! This is the unglamorous side of owning a boat.
